What Makes Veila Different
Veila requires minimal information because your privacy is the priority:
- Username: Any name you choose (no personal information required)
- Password: Your encryption key - choose it carefully!
- Email (optional): Only for account recovery, never for marketing
Privacy Note: We don't require your real name, phone number, personal details, or verification documents.

Your password isn't just for login - it's your encryption key:
- Encrypts all conversations before they leave your device
- Cannot be recovered by Veila if forgotten
- Protects your data even if our servers were compromised
- Required for data access - we literally cannot read your chats without it

- Minimum 8 characters (we recommend 16+)

What Happens If You Forget Your Password?

If you forget your password:
- You can reset your account and start fresh
- All previous conversations will be permanently lost
- This is the price of true end-to-end encryption
